1. The exterior is cheap plastic. It feels very flimsy and honestly makes pushing the tray/basket back into the machine a bit difficult as it tends to get caught on itself. A minor complaint and somewhat expected given the cost difference to the higher-end machines. 2. The max temp is 400 degrees. A bit limiting considering there are many recipes that will call for 425-450. 3. The temperature can only be adjusted by 10 degrees. I suppose this was for faster/easier use, but it means you need to adjust the time to compensate.
