• The timer is more like a stopwatch, but it’s still useful. • It costs more than the average blender. • The SELF-DETECT Ascent A2300 and A2500 containers cost extra money and are not cheap. • No preset programs out of the box. You’ll need another machine in the Vitamix Ascent series for this. • No digital touch controls, just dials, and buttons. • Struggles a little with leafy greens. You may find your green smoothies a little gritty. • The pitcher it comes with is too big. • Harder to clean because blades aren’t supposed to be removed. • Plastic top can be annoying. • Fairly bulky and large. • A few people complain about the noise and loudness. • There is a bit of a learning curve needed when using this blender but it becomes fun after you get the hang of it. • Unfortunately this is not dishwasher safe; therefore cleaning it is a chore.
