• It is powerful. • It is great that it has three blades for making large quantities. • It is easy to clean. • Easy to clean because of the removable blade. • The design and pouring mechanism are nice. • Ice crusher button is a nice feature and works great. • This is a DRINK blender and it is exceptional at making perfect smoothies, turning ice to snow, and pulverizing most wet ingredients to a perfect consistency--no chunks. • Alcohol drinks with crushed ice and fresh fruit such as margaritas, etc. turn out FABULOUS and restaurant-quality consistency. • Smoothies are perfect and powders of any kind completely blend into drinks without chunks of ice or powder sticking to sides • It's decently quiet (for a blender) and I think it runs slightly quieter than most blenders. • It has suction cup "feet" that keep it from sliding around or vibrating excessively while in use. The unit is still easily lifted off the counter or moved to the store without effort. • The preset buttons for "smoothie/ice crush/ice-cream" take the guesswork out of everything. It turns on and off and stops at the right time automatically to avoid overheating and melting your ingredients.
• Strong motor • Smaller footprint • Easy to read controls • Easy to clean- Cleaning is a breeze, just cycle water through; you can throw just about anything into it, fun to cook again. • Aesthetically pleasing design despite its large size. • The jug is great and easy to attach. • Lightweight, durable plastic jar and (seemingly) solid, well-made, base and motor. • Seven (7) year warranty makes the high price more tolerable. • The gasket appears pliable and has dual ridges to securely seal the lid; only time will tell how durable the gasket will be. • It's easy to use. You can just use the dial or use one of the pre-set buttons. • It's stable and does not move on the countertop. • The base is heavy and has rubberized feet. It won't walk across your counter while blending, doesn't cause crazy vibrations, even at top speed. • Jar capacity is pretty good. Two very large hurricane glasses full, I'd say. • The blade just destroys ice and frozen fruit/veggies. • Preset buttons are useful, but I prefer the manual control knob. Has a solid click and a good feel. • Square jar is my favorite. Creates a real nice swirl in the jar that gets every last chunk down to the blades. • Plastic plunger helps break up any blockages • Single piece jar--no bottom to unscrew, no leaky O-rings to fiddle with and seat properly or to lose at the bottom of the dishwasher. The top has two rows of flexible ribbing that ensure a tight seal all the way around the jar. Easily removable plug in the lid made of clear plastic. Very sturdy and heavy-grade plastic all around.
• Standing at nearly 17 3/4" tall, you likely won't be able to fit it assembled under your kitchen upper cabinets. • Power cord is only 32" long which is short. • This Ninja blender is for drinks or wet ingredients. If you are mixing dry ingredients or making HOT soups, you need to spend the extra $300+ for a Vitamix. This Ninja blender specifically indicates it is "NOT for hot liquids and DO NOT process dry ingredients" in it. • The lid is needed to operate this blender and is pretty clunky and awkward • The machine will not grind up the seeds from strawberries. So the little seeds are part of the drink when you are finished. • The lid gets stuck sometimes when closing. • The blender is louder than many blenders. • It can often take a long time, multiple cycles, to make smoothies • It’s a full-size countertop blender, it’s quite heavy and bulky • Can’t make hot soups • If you’re new to the Ninja family it may take some time to get used to • It’s a little loud • 1-year warranty. • This machine is quite complicated to assemble/disassemble and operate. • It comes with a very sharp blade and has BAD DESIGN from a safety perspective. • Blades usually become significantly dull within a few months of use which seriously reduces the quality of blending.
• This blender can get pretty loud at full power. Low power is not so bad. • It is not considered dishwasher safe by the manufacturer. • The blade cannot be removed...at least not very easily. • The rubber seal on the lid comes off easily. • It can be a bit tricky to get the pitcher to sit on the base properly. • The entire unit is very large. The base alone is heavy and stands fairly high. • The manufacturer recommends wrapping the cord underneath the base and around the motor. This is just not practical when you use the blender daily.
