1. The book with recipes could definitely be improved upon but there are so many online recipe ideas for air fryers that can help you elevate your cooking. 2. It takes much longer than you would anticipate, though maybe it takes the same time to deep fry. 3. This size is pretty small I recommend that you buy a larger model because this one is not recommended to layer, so there is really not a lot of space to cook anything large and for example, if you were to cook French fries or wings for more than 2 or 3 people, you'd have to do it in stages, which would make it very inconvenient. 4. I would suggest playing with it a little before using it to cook for a special occasion as it takes a few tries to figure out the best cook time & frequency of shaking in between cook times.
